Tightline Productions does it again with another remarkable video, this time on how to strip and color you own peacock quills. As some know, I (we) are very fond of quill body flies as they sport superior segmentation and provide a slim body, just like those of the naturals. Although we are partial to the brand Polish Quills, Tim presents a superb way to do it yourself and save some dough. I believe there is something is the contrast on the quill that works as a trigger to the fish, pretty much when they see these flies they more often than not, can't turn them down. Try quill body flies in olive, natural, brown, and even yellow. Make sure to whip up some quills and get tying before the spring, having a bunch of these in your box is a really good idea.
